Information Population Census
With a reference date of 1st November of 2011, the population and housing censuses have been registered, the largest statistic operation that the INE makes every ten years since the late 19th Century. The investigation allows:
- Knowing the features of the buildings: number of floors, condition of the building, year of construction…
- Having information available about the houses: type of ownership (full ownership, rental…), area, rooms…
- And about the people: demographic characteristics (sex, age, nationality), studies, labour situation, composition of the home, migrations and mobility.
The Census sets the population number of Spain in 46.815.956 inhabitants from 1st November of 2011, with a growth of almost 6 million people in a decade.
The number of foreigners is 5.252.473
